CNC Turner / Programmer

Wirral

£18.00 – £19.00 per hour

Monday to Thursday – 08:00am to 16:30pm
Friday – 08:00am to 14:30pm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner / Programmer to join a well-established engineering company based on the Wirral.

The Role:

• Programming, setting and operating CNC lathes
• Manufacturing one-off and small batch precision components
• Working from detailed engineering drawings
• Selecting tooling and setting offsets
• Producing components to tight tolerances
• Carrying out self-inspection using measuring equipment
• Maintaining high quality standards throughout production
• Working closely with the production team to meet customer requirements

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a CNC Turner / Programmer
• Ability to program, set and operate CNC lathes independently
• Experience working from engineering drawings
• Strong understanding of precision engineering
• Experience working to tight tolerances
• Knowledge of Fanuc, Hurco, Mazatrol or similar controls would be advantageous
• Time-served apprenticeship or engineering qualification preferred
• Positive attitude and strong attention to detail
