About the role
Embroidery Machine Operator – Basildon, Essex
Noble Recruiting are supporting a long-standing and friendly client based in Basildon, who is looking to recruit an experienced Embroidery Machine Operator on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a Monday to Friday role within a well-established production and manufacturing environment.
Salary: £26,000 – £27,300 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Contract: Permanent, full-time
The Role
As an Embroidery Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining multi-head embroidery machinery to produce high-quality embroidered garments in line with production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating six-head Happy Japan embroidery machines to produce embroidered garments
- Experience with Tajima, Barudan, or SWF machines is beneficial
- Setting up, running, and maintaining multi-head embroidery machines
- Framing and loading garments and fabrics for embroidery
- Interpreting and working from embroidery design files (DST, EMB, etc.)
- Carrying out thread changes, tension adjustments, and routine machine maintenance
- Inspecting finished garments to ensure quality standards are met
- Supporting the production team to meet daily targets and deadlines
- Assisting with general production tasks when required
Skills & Experience
- Previous embroidery machine operating experience preferred (minimum 1 year ideal, but not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
- Knowledge of different fabrics and embroidery techniques is advantageous
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and workplace health and safety
