HGV Drainage Engineer

HGV Drainage Engineer: The role will be lead tanker operative as part of a two-operative team in one tanker. Joining the Remedials team will enable the operative to develop their knowledge with CCTV surveys, lining, pipe rehabilitation, extensive drainage investigation works, excavation and repairs etc. Brief overview of role responsibilities:  Carrying out descale works for below ground drainage, line cleaning, root cutting, and confined space entry works.  Emptying of external grease traps.  Extensive tanker extraction works to Foul and Surface water systems/ Pump stations/ Petrol Interceptors  Working alongside CCTV & Drainage teams supporting and facilitating Surveys, inspections and detailed investigation works which will involve fault finding and providing practical solutions to support the client’s needs.  Support specialist teams with lining, patching and rehabilitation works.  Generally supporting drainage teams with clearance and blockage works should emergencies arise.  Picking up emergency tanker drainage callouts on a reactive basis.  Supporting pumps teams with Foul/Surface water pump station works.  Ensure correct tipping and waste disposal procedures are followed and adhered to. Essential Skills / Experience Required  Can do work ethic.  Good communication and problem-solving skills.  A strong team player.  Willingness to learn and progress within the role.  Self-motivation, discipline, and serious attitude towards health and safety in the workplace.  Attention to detail and customer focused attitude.  Valid UK driving license.  Valid UK HGV Class 2 License Desirable Skills / Experience Preferably previous experience in the drainage industry with a strong knowledge of drainage systems or willingness to learn. UK HGV Class 2 Basic Annual Salary Day operative - £44,200.00 Hours / Shifts Working Week 50HRS This role will require occasional night work and stay away works, this will be communicated with sufficient notice provided.
