Bluestones Medical is currently recruiting experienced and dedicated Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs) specialising in Anaesthetics to support services across Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist anaesthetists during the administration of anaesthesia.
• Prepare and maintain anaesthetic equipment and theatre environments.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after anaesthetic procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative journey.
• Adhere to all infection prevention, clinical governance, and health and safety protocols.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary theatre teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• HCPC registration as an Operating Department Practitioner.
• Previous experience working within an anaesthetic theatre setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a team.
• Up-to-date mandatory training (or willingness to update).
• Right to work in the UK.
