We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated RE Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Middlesbrough from September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term supply position, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ambitious ECT looking to develop their career within a supportive and well-established department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring RE and related subjects lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for Key Stage 5 teaching depending on experience. You will have a passion for your subject and the ability to motivate students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.

The Role:

• Teaching Religious Studies / PTE  across KS3 and KS4.
• Planning, preparing and delivering high-quality lessons.
• Assessing, monitoring and reporting on student progress.
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Supporting the wider aims and ethos of the school.
• Participating in departmental meetings and school activities where required.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Religious studies within a UK secondary school.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• A commitment to raising standards and improving outcomes for all students.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
