Design and Technology Teacher 

First for Education are seeking a flexible and confident Design and Technology Teacher to provide short term cover at a well-regarded secondary school in Kidderminster. 
This is a part-time, short-term position for the Autumn Term, delivering lessons at both Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4). 
The school has a strong behaviour policy in place and a supportive senior leadership team as well as a great reputation in the area and from staff who work there!

Design and Technology Teacher role requirements: 

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
• Ability to deliver lessons across a range of subjects 
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills 
• A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching 
• Strong communication and organisational skills 
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing 
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one.

 
The successful Design and Technology Teacher will: 

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects
• Adapt teaching to suit different classroom environment
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies 
• Ensure pupils remain engaged and on task 
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour 
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
