Operational Support Officer
Location: Morledge, Derby DE1 2XE

Brook Street is in partnership with our client (Ministry of Justice) and is hiring an Operational Support Officer to join their team on a full-time basis.
What you'll be doing:
* Usher and clerk in civil and family court settings, liaising with the judiciary, parties, solicitors and barristers
* Support court users, assisting with listing and rota management and ensuring files are checked and ready
* Prepare papers and files for hearings, producing court documents as required
* Create and update records on an in-house computer system, completing accurate data input
* Handle workload targets for throughput and accuracy
* Manage a range of enquiries via the counter (face to face), as well as written and telephone requests
* Carry out general photocopying and filing to keep day-to-day processes moving
What you'll bring:
* A calm, professional approach when supporting people in service-facing situations
* Confidence working to clear processes, deadlines and accuracy expectations
* Strong attention to detail when preparing documents and maintaining records
* Good communication skills for in-person, written and telephone enquiries
* Willingness to learn-full training will be provided
Additional information:
* Hours: Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00 (37 hours per week), site-based
* Pay: £12.86 per hour
* Contract: Start ASAP until 30/09/2027, with the possibility of extension
* Clearance: Basic DBS will be applied for by Brook Street following a successful application
* If you've been outside the UK for 6 months or longer in the last 3 years, you may need to provide an additional overseas police check (where applicable)
