Introduction to the Practice

Our client is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their well-established, progressive, welcoming, and supportive team in a beautiful area of North Wales. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with experienced veterinary surgeons and develop your nursing skills while gaining exposure to a wide range of interesting cases, making it an excellent role for an RVN looking to further enhance their clinical experience.

The practice is a four-branch, mixed practice committed to colleague wellbeing, high clinical standards, and fostering a positive workplace culture. It is well-equipped and supported by a skilled nursing and administrative team, alongside several certificate holders, including ECC, SAS, and Anaesthesia. The larger branches are RCVS GP accredited, featuring fully equipped operating theatres, multiparameter monitoring, dental x-ray, ultrasound, endoscope, and an in-house laboratory. They also perform in-house orthopaedic procedures. All smaller branches are also RCVS accredited. The practice's commitment to patient welfare and quality improvement is demonstrated by its recent Zero Pain Philosophy accreditation and RCVS Knowledge QI award.

The Role

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week over four days. The role involves approximately 1 in 9 Saturdays and one weekday 8 pm finish per week. The successful candidate will rotate between theatre, prep, nurse consultations, and inpatient nursing care. Nurses are encouraged to undertake Schedule 3 procedures. The practice supports further studies and encourages individuals to pursue areas of interest, expand their clinical skills, and enjoy a diverse and rewarding role.

The practice is located in North Wales, specifically in Mona, Anglesey. Anglesey, also known as Ynys Môn, is an island off the northwest coast of Wales. It is separated from the mainland by the Menai Strait. Anglesey is known for its stunning natural beauty, rich history, and cultural heritage, offering a high quality of life and numerous outdoor activities. The area is a popular tourist destination with beautiful beaches and landmarks.
