About the Role

A new opportunity has arisen for a Private Client Solicitor to join a well-established and supportive private client team across the Cardiff and Gwent area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with ideally 1+ year PQE who is looking to continue developing their career within a respected regional practice. The firm offers a strong private client platform, good quality work and the opportunity to build long-term client relationships across South Wales.

You will be joining a friendly and experienced team where you will have the opportunity to manage your own caseload while receiving support from senior lawyers. The role would suit someone who enjoys client contact, wants exposure to a varied private client caseload and is looking for a firm that can offer genuine progression.

The role will involve:

• Handling a varied caseload of wills, probate, estate administration and lasting powers of attorney.
• Advising clients on inheritance tax planning and estate planning matters.
• Drafting wills, trusts and powers of attorney.
• Supporting clients through probate and estate administration matters.
• Managing relationships with clients in a sensitive and professional manner.
• Working closely with colleagues across the wider private client team.
• Supporting business development initiatives and helping to grow the department’s local presence.
• Providing clear, practical and client-focused advice to individuals and families.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Be a qualified Solicitor with ideally 1+ year PQE in private client law.
• Have experience handling wills, probate, estate administration and lasting powers of attorney.
• Demonstrate strong client care and communication skills.
• Have excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage work efficiently.
• Be keen to develop your technical knowledge and progress within private client law.
• Show a proactive and professional approach to client relationships.
• Be comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team.
