About the role


The Role:

We are seeking a hard-working and reliable Site Labourer for a short-term contract on a busy commercial construction project in York.

This is a fantastic opportunity to secure an immediate start, pick up consistent hours, and work with a highly respected commercial contractor. You will play a vital role in keeping the site safe, tidy, and running on schedule.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting various sub-contractors and trades with moving materials and equipment across the site.

  • Maintaining clean, organised, and safe working areas in line with site health and safety policies.

  • Clearing commercial waste, sweeping up, and loading skips.

  • Assisting with the unloading and distribution of site deliveries.

  • Carrying out general physical labour and lifting tasks as directed by the Site Manager.


What We Are Looking For:
  • Valid CSCS Card (Essential).

  • Previous experience working as a labourer on a construction site (Commercial experience is highly preferred).

  • Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis vest/jacket, and steel toe cap boots).

  • A proactive, hard-working attitude and excellent punctuality.

  • Ability to follow instructions clearly and work safely around others.

  • Easy access to York for prompt morning starts.
