Painter and Decorator

Thorn Baker Construction is currently recruiting for an experienced Painter & Decorator to join a busy project in Jarrow, NE32.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled and reliable Painter & Decorator to work with a reputable contractor on an ongoing basis.

The Role

As a Painter & Decorator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality finishes across a range of construction projects.

Typical duties include:

• Preparing surfaces ready for painting and decorating.
• Internal and external painting.
• Applying gloss, emulsion and other finishes to a high standard.
• Carrying out snagging and touch-up works.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment.

Requirements

• Valid CSCS Card.
• Previous experience working as a Painter & Decorator on construction sites.
• Own tools and PPE.
• Good attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Strong understanding of site health and safety.
