Job Title: Fire Alarm Designer

Are you a Fire Alarm Designer based in Surrey looking for your next opportunity? As a Fire Alarm Designer, you will be responsible for producing detailed fire alarm designs and technical documentation for a range of commercial, residential, and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with relevant British Standards and client specifications. Responsibilities:

* Produce fire alarm system designs in line with BS 5839 and project-specific requirements.
* Create detailed drawings, schematics, and design documentation using CAD, Revit, or BIM software.
* Develop cable schedules, equipment specifications, and bill of materials to support installation teams.
* Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure designs meet technical and programme requirements.
* Review and interpret architectural and building services drawings to incorporate fire alarm layouts accurately.
* Ensure all designs comply with current standards, regulations, and client approval processes.

Experience and Certifications required:

* Minimum 3 years of experience in fire alarm design or a closely related discipline.
* Proficiency in CAD, Revit, or BIM design tools for the production of fire alarm drawings and documentation.
* Strong working knowledge of BS 5839 and relevant fire detection and alarm standards.
* Experience working on a range of project types including commercial, residential, or mixed-use developments.
* Full UK driving licence desirable.
* FIA Design qualification or equivalent fire alarm design certification (desirable).
