Assistant Management Accountant

NE10, Felling, Gateshead Jackson Hogg Ltd Jackson Hogg is supporting a growing business in Gateshead with the appointment of two Assistant Management Accountants. These opportunities are ideal for candidates currently working within Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable who are looking to broaden their experience and progress towards a future career in Management Accounting. The business is looking for ambitious finance professionals who want to develop beyond transactional finance. You'll take ownership of either the purchase ledger or sales ledger function while gaining valuable exposure to month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and management accounting activities. Key Responsibilities * Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable activities * Process and reconcile supplier or customer accounts * Monitor outstanding balances and resolve account queries * Perform cash allocation and account reconciliations * Support month-end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations * Assist with accruals, prepayments and financial reporting * Contribute to process improvements and finance system enhancements * Support audit and compliance requirements About You * Experience within Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger or a similar finance role * Strong attention to detail and reconciliation skills * Comfortable working in a fast-paced finance environment * Studying towards AAT, ACCA or CIMA, or keen to begin professional studies * Looking for a role with genuine development and progression opportunities What's on Offer? * £30,000–£40,000, depending on experience * Study support * Hybrid working * Flexi-time * Enhanced benefits package * Clear progression into Management Accounting * Supportive team environment with strong mentoring This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to move beyond transactional finance and build a long-term career within a growing finance function
