General Operative

GENERAL OPERATIVE – Birchwood

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a General Operative to join our well-established client based in Birchwood.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering ongoing work, weekly pay, immediate starts and the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.

This role would suit candidates with experience as a General Operative, Warehouse Operative, Production Operative, Warehouse Assistant, Production Assistant, Manufacturing Operative or Factory Operative.

Shifts

  • Monday to Friday
  • 08:00 – 16:00

Rates of Pay

  • £12.71 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As a General Operative, your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Carrying out manual handling duties safely and efficiently
  • Cleaning machinery, equipment and work areas
  • Moving stock and materials throughout the warehouse and production areas
  • Assisting with general warehouse and operational duties as required
  • Supporting production activities to ensure work is completed on time
  • Following health and safety procedures at all times
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
  • Working as part of a team to achieve daily operational targets

Essential Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience within a warehouse, production or manufacturing environment
  • Experience carrying out manual handling duties
  • A hardworking, reliable and positive attitude
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A good level of spoken English
  • Good attention to detail
  • The ability to follow instructions and work safely at all times

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working within a fast-paced warehouse or production environment
  • Previous experience using pallet trucks or other warehouse equipment would be advantageous, although not essential

Training Provided

  • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
