Veterinary Surgeon (Hospital and Branch)

Our client is a large, RCVS accredited practice with 5 fully equipped branch practices and a large central hospital. They have been providing outstanding care to the region’s pets for 45 years, supported by a fantastic team of passionate professionals dedicated to excellence in veterinary medicine. They also run the region’s biggest emergency vet service. This is a superb opportunity to join a community-based role with the comprehensive support, expertise, and energy of a larger practice.

The Role

This full-time position (with flexible working considered) is split between a branch practice in Lewes and the Brighton Hospital, both situated within easy reach of one another. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident vet with strong communication skills who enjoys the variety of both branch and hospital practice. The successful candidate will have the chance to build strong client relationships within the local community while benefiting from the collaborative environment, facilities, and expertise available within the busy Brighton Hospital. The role offers an excellent balance of autonomy and teamwork, combining community-focused first opinion practice with the support and resources of a larger veterinary group.

The week will involve consulting and some routine operations at the Lewes branch, with every other Saturday morning at the Lewes branch. There is a 1:15 second on-call rota to support the night and weekend team. At the Lewes branch, the successful candidate will work in sole charge, supported by two RVNs and a receptionist, managing their own cases with the reassurance of a friendly wider team and support from the Brighton Hospital whenever needed.
