Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and respected organisation in South East London to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy finance team and can quickly adapt to new systems and processes.

As an Accounts Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function, ensuring financial records are maintained accurately and deadlines are met.

Your key responsibilities as an Accounts Assistant:

• Processing purchase and sales invoices
• Assisting with bank reconciliations
• Managing supplier statements and resolving account queries
• Processing payment runs
• Supporting credit control activities where required
• Posting journals and assisting with month-end tasks
• Maintaining accurate financial records and spreadsheets
• Providing general administrative support to the finance team

The successful Accounts Assistant will have:

• Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance support role
• Good working knowledge of purchase and sales ledger processes
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Immediate availability or the ability to start at short notice
