Management Accountant | £30,000 - £35,000 | Chipping Sodbury (5 days)

An outstanding career development opportunity has arisen for an ambitious finance professional seeking a structured step up into management accounting.

This role is ideally suited to an individual with a strong foundation in transactional finance (such as Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable) who is ready to broaden their skill set. Joining a high-performing, collaborative, and fast-paced finance team, you will report directly to the Financial Controller and benefit from direct, 1-on-1 mentorship while maintaining a hands-on operational role. This would also suit someone who is studying their accountancy qualifications. Study support is available.

Due to the interactive and fast-moving nature of the business, this position is fully office-based, offering an engaging environment for someone who thrives on in-person collaboration and team culture.

The Role:

Core Accounting & Month-End Mastery: Work directly alongside the Financial Controller to master full month-end reporting- producing management accounts, journals, accruals, prepayments, and complex balance sheet reconciliations (fixed assets, rebates).

Commercial Planning & Cashflow: Gain valuable commercial exposure by monitoring daily cashflow, building short-term forecasts, and partnering directly with operational budget holders to track performance.

Controls, Audit & Compliance: Build a strong foundation in financial governance by managing expense compliance, resolving supplier queries, and acting as a key point of contact for external auditors.

Business Partnering & Growth: Actively collaborate across commercial and operational teams, developing insightful management reporting (MI) while spotting and driving process improvements to help the business scale.

Your Profile:

• A commercially minded accountant with a background in Accounts Payable
• You could be AAT qualified, or studying CIMA / ACCA
• A strong communicator with excellent IT skills
• A positive mindset, “can-do” attitude who fits into the team
