Introduction

Our client, a busy, well-established first opinion practice, is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-performing, close-knit team, delivering a wide range of clinical services while maintaining high standards of patient care. The practice is known for managing a varied and complex caseload in-house, supported by an experienced veterinary team and a collaborative working environment.

The Role

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering exceptional clinical care and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. Working alongside the veterinary surgeons, nursing team, and support staff, the RVN will help ensure excellent patient outcomes and outstanding client service. This is a predominantly clinical role offering exposure to a varied caseload, including medical, surgical, and inpatient nursing.

Main Purpose & Goals:

  • Deliver high standards of patient care through excellent clinical nursing

  • Support the veterinary team across a wide range of procedures and cases

  • Contribute to the efficient day-to-day running of the practice

  • Maintain excellent client communication and service standards

  • Work collaboratively within a positive and supportive team environment

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Duties:

  • Support vets with a wide range of procedures and cases

  • Provide inpatient care and monitoring

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care across a varied caseload

  • Assist with surgical procedures, dentals, and diagnostic workups

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

  • Maintain accurate and thorough clinical records

  • Ensure high standards of patient welfare and infection control

Practice Support:

  • Work collaboratively with RVNs, PCAs, vets, and reception teams

  • Support the smooth running of daily clinical operations

  • Assist with stock management and equipment maintenance

  • Contribute to maintaining high clinical and operational standards

Client Care:

  • Deliver excellent client service and communication

  • Support the client journey from admission through to discharge

  • Provide clear updates, advice, and guidance to clients

  • Promote preventative healthcare and patient wellbeing
