Our client, a busy, well-established first opinion practice, is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their dedicated team. The practice is known for managing a varied and complex caseload in-house, supported by an experienced veterinary team and a collaborative working environment.
The Role
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering exceptional clinical care and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. Working alongside the veterinary surgeons, nursing team, and support staff, the RVN will help ensure excellent patient outcomes and outstanding client service. This is a predominantly clinical role offering exposure to a varied caseload, including medical, surgical, and inpatient nursing.
Main Purpose & Goals:
Deliver high standards of patient care through excellent clinical nursing
Support the veterinary team across a wide range of procedures and cases
Contribute to the efficient day-to-day running of the practice
Maintain excellent client communication and service standards
Work collaboratively within a positive and supportive team environment
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties:
Support vets with a wide range of procedures and cases
Provide inpatient care and monitoring
Deliver high-quality nursing care across a varied caseload
Assist with surgical procedures, dentals, and diagnostic workups
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Maintain accurate and thorough clinical records
Ensure high standards of patient welfare and infection control
Practice Support:
Work collaboratively with RVNs, PCAs, vets, and reception teams
Support the smooth running of daily clinical operations
Assist with stock management and equipment maintenance
Contribute to maintaining high clinical and operational standards
Client Care:
Deliver excellent client service and communication
Support the client journey from admission through to discharge
Provide clear updates, advice, and guidance to clients
Promote preventative healthcare and patient wellbeing
