Building Control Surveyor

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Building Control Surveyor (or Senior) on behalf of a unique Approved Inspecter to be based anywhere within Yorkshire & the North East (exact coverage area to be tailored to your location, suited to anyone between Leeds & Newcastle).

The Company:

This is a unique Approved Inspector with work-life balance being a real focal point. The business does not have overly aggressive growth plans and do not place fee targets on Surveyors, allowing their reputation for a quality and reliable service to generate repeat and new business.

The Role:

This is Building Control Surveyor opportunity (all grades considered) whereby you will provide building regulations plans and site assessment services on both residential and commercial developments, albeit with a residential focus. The nature of your working is entirely flexible, whether you want to work from home or the office (hybrid available). Workload is carefully managed to ensure each Surveyor has a sustainable work-life balance.

Temporary contract staff will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

· To deliver agreed procedures to provide effective building control services on a range of projects in terms of size and complexity

· Review of plans and other associated matters for compliance with building regs and associated legislation

· Delivery of site inspections and testing of building works for compliance with building regs and associated legislation

Person Specification:

· Proven relevant industry experience within a Building Control environment, carrying out plan checking and site inspections and managing your own projects

· Full of part Membership of a relevant professional body such as RICS, CABE or CIOB

· Extensive knowledge and application of Building Regulations, AI regs and associated legislation

· Full UK Driving Licence and use of a car
