Residential Child Care Worker (Zero-Hour)

Are you a dedicated professional seeking a role that specializes in children's residential care? We are currently building a flexible, zero-hour workforce to provide essential support for children and young people across the region. This position offers the opportunity to balance your professional commitments while contributing to the development and safety of vulnerable youth.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for children and young people, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Support home operations, including educational encouragement, meal preparation, maintenance, and conducting recreational activities.
• Collaborate with care teams across multiple facilities within the area.
• Participate in a full induction program, shadow shifts, and specialized training, including Therapeutic Parenting.

Qualifications and Essential Skills

• Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• A nurturing, patient, and resilient professional disposition.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
• Requirement: A full, valid UK manual driving licence.
• Desirable: One year of relevant experience and possession of a Level 3 Diploma or SCQF Level 7 qualification in residential childcare.
