An exceptional opportunity has opened up for a dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join a highly supportive Support & Protect Team in Workington. Sitting on a true prime contract, this position commands a market-leading hourly rate alongside a structured rota specifically designed to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

• Premium Earning Power: Command an outstanding hourly rate of £45.00 per hour.

• True Hybrid Working: Enjoy a balanced weekly schedule of 3 days on-site/in the community and 2 days working flexibly from home.

• Predictable Duty Rota: Experience an exceptionally well-managed schedule with a duty week taking place only once every 5 weeks. The remaining 4 weeks are dedicated entirely to planned case management and routine practice.

• Statutory Safeguarding: Managing a varied caseload of children and young people subject to Child Protection (CP) plans and Children in Need (CIN) frameworks.

• Assessments & Court Work: Completing high-quality, analytical child and family assessments, preparing court reports, and managing care proceedings when required.

• Relational Casework: Delivering purposeful, child-centred interventions to reduce risk, build family strengths, and improve outcomes.

• Professional Registration: Active registration with Social Work England.

• Frontline Competency: Substantive post-qualifying experience within a statutory frontline children's safeguarding team (Child Protection, CIN, or Duty & Assessment).

• Driver: Full UK driving licence with access to a reliable vehicle for community-based visits.
