School Caretaker

Location: Near Windsor, Berkshire

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Start Date: 3rd August

Contract: Temporary (Long-Term Sick Cover)

We're looking for a practical, hands-on Site Assistant to help keep a local school near Windsor running smoothly. If you have a background in trades-especially electrical, mechanical, or general maintenance-this is a great opportunity to apply your practical skill set in a supportive, consistent environment.

• Great Hours: Work a straightforward 9:00am - 5:00pm shift-no split shifts, weekend work, or late emergency call-outs.

• Predictable Schedule: Full-time, steady hours covering long-term sickness starting 3rd August.

• Make a Local Difference: Use your problem-solving skills to support a vibrant school community.

• Handling day-to-day minor repairs, basic DIY, and general site upkeep.

• Assisting with health & safety checks, fire alarm testing, and campus security.

• Helping set up rooms and halls for school events.

• Responding to everyday maintenance requests across the school grounds.

• Practical experience in a trade or general maintenance background (an electrical background is a big plus, but not essential!).

• A reliable, practical problem-solver who enjoys working as part of a team.

• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (or hold an active one on the Update Service).
