Autism Practitioner - South West

Job Title: Autism Practitioner Location: South West Service - Lanark, Carluke, and Biggar (Office & Community-based)Salary: £15.00 per hourHours: Full-time (6 FTE roles available). The Service & Role: The South West Service supports over 48 autistic individuals to live independent and fulfilling lives across Housing Support, Supported Living, residential care, and transitional assessment settings. Reporting to the Senior Autism Practitioner, you will have autonomy within your team to ensure that the service provided is of the highest quality, demonstrates best practice, and promotes safeguarding. Key Responsibilities:

• Providing highly personalised support to autistic individuals following outcome-based support plans.
• Acting as a Keyworker, which involves leading regular meetings and actively shaping support strategies alongside individuals, their families, and other stakeholders.
• Ensuring robust and accurate recording within the organisation's online systems, and complying with finance processes to safeguard individuals.
• Building collaborative relationships with external and internal partners to maximise the service's effectiveness.
• Actively participating in coaching and reflective practice to identify your own individualised learning pathway.

What We Are Looking For:

• Experience & Qualifications: You must be registered with the SSSC (or equivalent) and hold or be willing to work towards a relevant qualification. You must also be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme.
• Care Approach: A commitment to developing an understanding of low arousal support following Studio 3 principles, with the goal of reducing and eliminating restraint.
• Skills: You must be a skilled communicator who is confident using IT systems and sharing information through digital processes.
• Attributes: A flexible, adaptable, and creative approach, with the ability to work on your own initiative to continuously improve service quality. You must also demonstrate a strong desire to learn and expand your knowledge of autism.
