About the Role: The South West Service supports over 48 autistic adults to live independently across Supported Living, Housing Support, residential care, and transitional assessment settings. Reporting to the Senior Autism Practitioner, you will have the autonomy to drive high-quality care that demonstrates best practice and promotes strong safeguarding.Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Delivering highly personalised care driven by outcome-based support plans.
- Acting as a dedicated Keyworker, which involves leading review meetings and actively shaping support strategies alongside individuals and their families.
- Ensuring accurate, robust recording on digital systems and complying with finance processes to safeguard individuals.
- Building strong collaborative relationships with both internal and external partners.
- Actively engaging in coaching and reflective practice to carve out your own individualised learning pathway.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Credentials: You must be registered with the SSSC (or equivalent), be a member of the PVG scheme, and hold or be willing to work towards a relevant qualification.
- Care Approach: A commitment to learning and implementing low arousal support (following Studio 3 principles), with a focus on reducing and eliminating restraint.
- Skills: You must be a skilled communicator who is completely comfortable using IT systems and sharing information digitally.
- Mindset: We are looking for flexible, adaptable, and creative individuals who are eager to expand their knowledge of autism and use their initiative to improve service quality.
