Start date: ASAP - urgent requirement

Contract: Interim Contract - assumed 3 to 6 months, potential extension

A leading global manufacturer is seeking an experienced Six Sigma Black Belt on a contract basis to drive continuous improvement and quality excellence within a fast-paced automotive engineering environment.
The purpose of this role is to lead and deliver measurable business improvements through structured DMAIC, Lean, and advanced statistical methods. The Six Sigma Black Belt will identify, prioritize, and execute improvement projects that enhance process stability, reduce variation, improve first-time quality, reduce cost of poor quality, and support automotive customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Lean Six Sigma projects using DMAIC methodology.
  • Deliver measurable improvements in quality, productivity, cost and customer satisfaction.
  • Apply advanced statistical analysis and problem-solving techniques.
  • Facilitate Lean initiatives, Kaizen events and cross-functional improvement programmes.
  • Coach teams in Lean Six Sigma methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
About You
  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (inc. in-house training).
  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or a related discipline.
  • Experience within automotive manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA and SPC.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-impact improvement projects.
  • Works well in a cross-functional team environment.
