Job title: General Operative Location: Haverhill Hourly Rate: up to £13.00ph DOE Contract: Temporary on-going (could go perm for right person) Hours: Monday - Friday (Shift Pattern: 10PM - 6AM) Sector: Manufacturing An opportunity has arisen for General Operative for our client based in Haverhill, Suffolk As the General Operative your duties will include: * Operate and maintain a variety of machinery including lathes, milling machines, drilling rigs and cutting equipment * Set up, align and calibrate tooling, work‑holders and fixtures for machining components * Assemble machined parts, carry out finishing operations * Monitor machine performance, conduct routine checks, perform basic maintenance, and report issues promptly. An ideal candidate for the General Operative will have: * Familiarity with machining previously. Ideally you will have experience within a similar position.
