School Caretaker

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable School Caretaker to join our team and ensure that our school environment is safe, clean, and conducive to learning. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of the school premises. Key duties include performing routine cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing classrooms, hallways, and restrooms. Additionally, you will be responsible for grounds maintenance, which includes mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and ensuring that outdoor areas are tidy and free from hazards.

In this role, you will also handle minor repairs and maintenance work, including painting, plumbing, and electrical tasks, as well as reporting larger maintenance issues to the appropriate authorities. The School Caretaker will assist in setting up facilities for school events and ensure that safety protocols are followed, maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential, as you will interact with staff, students, and visitors regularly. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic are equally valued.
