Installing, assembling and aligning mechanical equipment to exacting standardsReading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specificationsMaintaining, repairing and overhauling mechanical systemsCarrying out inspections, testing and fault findingWorking safely within a high-quality engineering environmentCollaborating with experienced engineering teams on major projects
What we are looking for
You will ideally have experience working within one or more of the following sectors:
MarineHeavy EngineeringIndustrial ManufacturingNuclearOil & GasDefence
You will also have:
A completed apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering/FittingExperience working with hydraulic, pneumatic, rotating or static mechanical equipmentThe ability to interpret engineering drawingsA strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvementExperience commissioning, maintaining or troubleshooting mechanical systems is advantageous
