General Foreman

A Leading Regional civil engineering contractor are recruiting a General Foreman to join their busy Southeastern Division. The successful candidate will have experience of delivering civil engineering projects. You will be required to make decisions, motivate the team and drive the project towards a timely and profitable finish. Typically, the company deliver projects in the following sectors; • Highways and Bridges • Earthworks and remediation • Environment Agency Works • Ministry of Defence Works • Development Infrastructure • Flood Alleviation schemes • Marine and Coastal Projects Duties include: • Ordering plant, labour and materials • Leading toolbox talks, daily briefings and site inductions • Working with the Site Agent and commercial team to raise early warning notices • Promote the highest levels of health and safety on site • Liaise with stakeholders on public facing projects • Ensure your work force is working safely, effectively and efficiently • Reading drawings with the site engineer to coordinate gangs and overcome design difficulties • Ensure risk assessments and method statements and being adhered to The business will be able to keep you working on the Southeast Coast, offering a variety of projects, security and package that reflects your contribution to the company.
