About the role

Subject Teachers and Intervention Staff

Full-time and part-time opportunities available
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience, qualifications and role
Start date: September 2026 or as agreed

The Tutorial Foundation is a small independent specialist school in Bromley, supporting pupils with SEND, including autism, ADHD, SEMH needs and barriers to attending education.

Subject Teachers

We welcome applications from teachers and experienced subject specialists across a range of secondary subjects. Subject teachers will plan and deliver lessons, assess progress and support pupils working towards GCSE, Functional Skills, Entry Level and other suitable qualifications.

Qualified Teacher Status is required.

Intervention Staff

Intervention staff will deliver targeted individual and small-group support based on pupils’ identified needs. This may include literacy, numeracy, study skills, communication, emotional regulation, engagement and preparation for classroom learning.

The successful applicant will work closely with the SENCO, teaching staff and pastoral team to plan, deliver and review appropriate interventions. Qualified Teacher Status is not required for this role.

Working at The Tutorial Foundation

Our pupils are taught individually or in small groups within a calm and supportive environment. Our shorter school day and small-school setting can provide a more manageable working environment than many larger educational settings, while allowing staff to build strong relationships and provide personalised support.

Applicants should be calm, reliable, adaptable and committed to supporting young people who may have found traditional school settings difficult.
