Assistant Accountant

My client is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their team, this role will take ownership of key financial processes while playing an important part in the continued growth and success of the business.

The successful candidate will work closely with the management team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, and supporting strategic business decisions. This position offers genuine long-term career prospects. They do require the successful candidate to be proficient with Quickbooks Online.

Salary: Up to £45K

Location: Luton, Bedfordshire

Assistant Accountant Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day bookkeeping function using QuickBooks Online
• Maintain accurate financial records
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and supplier statements
• Process invoices, payments, and expense claims.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiencies
• Support the wider business with financial reporting and administrative tasks

Assistant Accountant Qualities:

• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
