Job description

Our role is to coordinate partnerships between the public and private sector to bring the required mix of capital, land, and delivery expertise to each project. We do this through our existing SPPs with Greater Manchester and Liverpool City Region Combined Authorities and emerging partnerships with Cheshire and Warrington and Lancashire and Cumbria. Our mission is to accelerate the delivery of high-quality homes in these locations, whilst also supporting economic growth through regeneration and placemaking.

Recent project examples include:

• £56m infrastructure investment to unlock 2,350 new homes at Central Docks in collaboration with Liverpool City Council and Peel Waters.

• Working in partnership with Wirral Borough Council and Liverpool City Region Combined Authority to secure more than £50m infrastructure and sustainable transport funding in support of the first phase of delivery at Hind St Urban Village.

• Joint working with GMCA, Manchester City Council, TfGM and private sector partners to deliver Victoria North (Manchester), the largest residential opportunity in Greater Manchester.

• Supporting GMCA’s ambition to deliver 75,000 Greater Manchester homes within the current Parliament, including 10,000 Totally Affordable Net Zero Caron Homes.

This is a rare chance to work for an organisation with real social purpose, one which is uniquely positioned to shape the future of place-based housing delivery and regeneration. Working with influential stakeholders, you will support our experienced team in driving delivery of a range of complex workstreams.

Person specification

We are looking for someone to join our team who understands and is passionate about the delivery of complex regeneration projects, understands the barriers faced in delivering them, and is used to working in a fast-paced environment.

You will enjoy working as part of multi-disciplinary team to resolve complex issues, drawing on the skills and experience of others and challenging yourself to expand your knowledge and understanding of large-scale regeneration projects.

You’ll have a strong understanding of the development delivery process and the ability to influence projects at various stages of delivery, including the land assembly, design, planning and funding.

You’ll have the ability to review and absorb information on complex projects, undertake analysis and produce reports for internal and external stakeholders.

You will be motivated by the transformative impact of regeneration and recognise the ability of a development led response to tackle social deprivation and economic underperformance.
