Whether you’re looking for flexible day-to-day work or a long-term placement, we have fantastic opportunities available from September.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, youth workers, sports coaches, or anyone with experience working with secondary-aged students who is looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

The Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences by:

• Supervising classes using pre-prepared lesson plans
• Managing classroom behaviour to create a positive learning environment
• Encouraging students to stay engaged and complete their work
• Supporting pupils throughout lessons where appropriate
• Providing clear feedback to teaching staff at the end of each lesson

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with secondary-aged students (school-based experience is desirable)
• A genuine passion for supporting young people
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The confidence to adapt to different school environments
• Strong behaviour management skills
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
