Sessional Ceremonies Officer

We are recruiting Sessional Ceremonies Officers to join the Tower Hamlets Register Office.

In this role, you will:

• Register Marriages and Civil Partnerships.
• Conduct statutory and non-statutory ceremonies in St Georges Town Hall and in licenced venues across the borough
• Issue relevant paperwork according to legislative and local requirements.
• Expected to work on a rota basis across weekends, with weekday working also an option.

About You
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• Direct and Relevant Experience of working in a Register Office.
• Performing high-quality ceremonies with a strong couple-led focus.
• Knowledge and implementation of relevant Home Office legislation, supported by GRO handbooks.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse community.
