Brackenwood Junior School is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join our committed team from September 2026. This is a fixed-term position working 33.5 hours per week during term time.

About the Role
We are looking for a teaching assistant who:
Supports high-quality teaching and learning across the classroom
Works effectively with individuals, small groups and whole-class activities under the direction of the class teacher
Builds positive, nurturing relationships with pupils, including those with SEND
Use initiative to support and motivate pupils
Has knowledge of SEND needs and adaptations
Demonstrates good communication skills and a flexible, team-focused approach
Shows enthusiasm, initiative and a commitment to inclusive practice

Essential Requirements
Relevant Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Experience supporting pupils in a KS2 setting
Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
