About the role
Location: EANI, 3 Charlemont Place, The Mall, Armagh, BT61 9AX
OFFICE BASED POSITION
Hourly rate: £14.99ph
Working Days/Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 4:45pm, with a 45-minute lunch break. (36 hours per week)
Contract: This is a temporary position until Sep 2026 with a possibility for extension.
Training: Full training will be provided.
Brook Street in partnership with Environmental Agency with a fantastic opportunity to join their busy Accounts payable team as a Senior Clerical Officer. This is great opportunity to gain valuable exposure/experience working within the Public Sector.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable function, ensuring invoices and related documentation are processed accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing and inputting invoice data accurately.
- Opening and distributing incoming post.
- Batching and preparing invoices for processing.
- Managing email correspondence and responding to queries.
- Customer service (Telephone/directly customer facing).
- Handling incoming telephone calls in a professional manner.
- Providing administrative support to the Accounts Payable team.
- Maintaining accurate records and filing systems.
- Assisting with other general clerical and administrative duties as required.
- Processing supplier invoices for payment and dealing with queries by phone, email and post from Schools, Suppliers and Budget Holders
Essential Criteria
- Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable Criteria
- Previous finance or accounts experience would be advantageous.
- Good Excel skills would be beneficial.
