An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Employment Associate (1-4 years' PQE) to join a highly regarded Employment team in London on a 12-14 month fixed-term contract.
This role offers the chance to work within a market-leading team advising employers, senior executives, private clients and family offices on a broad range of employment law matters. The successful candidate will enjoy high-quality work, direct client exposure and the opportunity to collaborate with experienced practitioners in a supportive and collegiate environment.
The Team
The Employment team is recognised for delivering pragmatic, commercial and strategic advice across the full spectrum of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters. Its client base includes multinational organisations, entrepreneurial businesses, family offices, private companies and high-net-worth individuals.
Working closely with colleagues across corporate, private client, immigration and regulatory practices, the team offers a diverse and intellectually stimulating workload.
The Role
The successful candidate will be involved in:
- Advising clients on day-to-day employment law issues and strategic workforce matters.
- Drafting and negotiating employment contracts, service agreements, policies and related employment documentation.
- Supporting corporate transactions, restructurings and TUPE-related matters.
- Advising on disciplinary, grievance and performance management issues.
- Managing Employment Tribunal claims and employment-related disputes.
- Advising senior executives on employment, incentive and departure arrangements.
- Working directly with partners and clients across a wide range of sectors and jurisdictions.
About You
Candidates should:
- Be qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales with between 1 and 4 years' post-qualification experience.
- Have gained strong employment law experience at a leading City, national or specialist employment practice.
- Demonstrate excellent technical skills and strong drafting ability.
- Be commercially minded with a client-focused approach.
- Enjoy working collaboratively and building strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Possess excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
