KS1 Class Teacher – Primary School – Nottingham

Milk Education are recruiting for a passionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic KS1 Class Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Nottingham on a long-term basis, starting in September 2026.

You’ll be joining a supportive school community that is committed to providing children with an engaging and high-quality education. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Primary Teacher or ECT who is passionate about working with younger pupils and creating a positive classroom environment where every child feels supported and encouraged to achieve their potential.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum, build strong relationships with pupils, and work collaboratively with colleagues to support children’s academic, social, and emotional development.

What You’ll Be Doing in the Role:

• Teaching a KS1 class and delivering high-quality lessons across the curriculum
• Planning and delivering engaging, creative, and age-appropriate learning experiences
• Creating a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment
• Supporting pupils to develop their confidence, independence, and love of learning
• Differentiating lessons to meet the needs and abilities of all pupils
• Supporting early reading, phonics, literacy, and numeracy development
• Monitoring, assessing, and tracking pupil progress
• Using assessment information to inform future planning and teaching
• Supporting pupils with SEND and adapting learning to meet individual needs
• Promoting positive behaviour and effective classroom management
• Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team
• Supporting pupils’ academic, personal, social, and emotional development
• Ensuring safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed consistently

Essential Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Recent and relevant experience teaching within a primary school setting
• Experience teaching KS1 is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum
• Good understanding of phonics and early reading
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Experience planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality lessons
• A genuine passion for primary education and children’s development
• Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive school team
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
• ECTs are welcome to apply
