Y1 Primary Teacher

Year 1 Primary Teacher – Grimsby, DN32 Provide Education are currently recruiting for a Year 1 Teacher to work at a primary school in Grimsby (DN32) from September.
This is a full-time maternity cover role and is expected to continue for the duration of the teacher’s leave. The school is looking for a confident and reliable teacher who can quickly build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
You will be taking full responsibility for a Year 1 class, including planning, marking, assessments and attending staff meetings where required.

What we’re looking for

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Recent experience teaching in a UK primary school
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1
• Good understanding of the Year 1 curriculum and phonics
• Strong classroom management skills
• Ability to plan and deliver lessons that engage and challenge pupils
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

The role

• Teaching a Year 1 class on a full-time basis
• Planning and delivering lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Assessing pupil progress and keeping accurate records
• Supporting pupils of all abilities to achieve their potential
• Working closely with teaching assistants and school staff
• Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and learning
