SEND Teaching Assistant – Scunthorpe (DN15)
Pay: £95–£110 per day (depending on experience)
Location: Scunthorpe, DN15
Contract: Full-time, temporary (daily supply)
Start: September 2026
About the role We’re looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Scunthorpe (DN15) area from September 2026.
This role involves working closely with pupils who need additional support, both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them stay engaged, build confidence, and manage day-to-day challenges in the classroom.
What you’ll be doing

• Supporting pupils with ADHD and Autism (ASC)
• Working with children with SEMH needs
• Helping with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
• Supporting social development and classroom engagement
• Assisting pupils who may have additional learning or medical needs

What we’re looking for

• Experience working with children with SEND is desirable, but not essential if you’re eager to learn
• A patient, reliable and adaptable approach
• A genuine passion for supporting young people
• Ability to travel to Scunthorpe (DN15)

Requirements

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
• Basic safeguarding training (or willingness to complete this)
• Experience in a school, care, or support setting is advantageous
