SEND Tutor

We are looking for passionate and dedicated teachers who would be interested in providing tuition for children and young people who are currently not accessing mainstream education. 
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by supporting pupils on an individual basis, helping them build confidence, develop their learning, and where appropriate, work towards successfully reintegrating into a mainstream education setting.
Sessions may take place in the child’s home, a community hub, or a local library within the Barnsley area. Every child is unique, and each learner will have an individual plan tailored to their needs, with clear targets aligned to their EHCP where applicable.
What we offer:

• Competitive pay of £25-£40 per hour, depending on the needs of the child, the level of responsibility, and your experience and qualifications.
• Flexible hours and working days to fit around your availability.
• Ongoing support from your dedicated SEND Consultant and EHCP Coordinators throughout each placement.

Requirements:

• Qualified teaching experience.
• A full UK driving licence and access to transport.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
• Safeguarding Certificate (level 1 or above)
