- Supporting classroom management by promoting positive behaviour and using appropriate strategies, including de-escalation techniques where required.
- Providing one-to-one support for identified pupils, helping them develop confidence, independence and key life skills.
- Preparing and maintaining learning resources, including supporting pupils with ICT and other learning technologies.
- Supporting pupils during assessments, examinations, trips and other activities outside of the classroom.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SEND staff, external professionals, parents and carers to support pupils’ needs.
- Following safeguarding procedures and promoting the health, safety and wellbeing of all pupils.
- Undertaking training to deliver specialist interventions and support pupils’ individual needs.
About You:
You will be a caring, patient and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with children and is committed to helping every pupil succeed. You will have the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues, work effectively as part of a team, and adapt your approach to meet individual learning needs.
