Grounds Maintenance Operative

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team and ensure the upkeep and beautification of various outdoor spaces. As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds of parks, gardens, and other public areas, ensuring they are clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing. Your duties will include mowing lawns, trimming hedges, planting flowers and shrubs, and removing litter and debris. You will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance of gardening equipment and machinery, ensuring they are in good working order and safe to use.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a passion for working outdoors. Previous experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping is preferred, along with a basic understanding of horticulture. A valid driver's license is essential, as you will be required to travel to various locations. You should be physically fit and able to perform manual labor, as the role involves lifting and carrying equipment, as well as working in various weather conditions. Additionally, excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are crucial for success in this role.
