About the role

Elmlea Schools are looking for a part-time Site Officer. Hard-working and good DIY skills are essential but previous school site experience is not essential.

Elmlea Schools, part of the Russell Education Trust, is seeking to appoint a dedicated Site Officer or an aspiring Site Officerto join our team as soon as possible.This is a crucial role in supporting the Site Team to ensure the smooth running of the school site, including: maintaining the security of the school; carrying out maintenance tasks to a high standard to ensure a safe working environment for pupils and staff (please see job description for further details). The position would suit someone with practical DIY skills and is an excellent opportunity for those seeking to develop their career. Training will be provided.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be dedicated and passionate about maintaining a safe working environment for pupils and staff.
  • Have strong D.I.Y skills and be able to carry out physical tasks such as lifting, carrying and pushing equipment.
  • Work closely with the Site Team as well as on their own initiative.
  • Have a good understanding, or look to develop, Health & Safety in a school environment.
  • Be able to use IT.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and share the school’s core values

This position is permanent, part-time, all-year-round role. The hours are from 13:00 to 18:00 daily.
