Jackson Hogg is recruiting on behalf of a leading aerospace manufacturing business for an experienced Skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join their team in Basildon.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high precision manufacturing environment, producing complex components to strict quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacture, assemble and repair sheet metal components to detailed engineering drawings and specifications
• Carry out forming, bending, cutting, drilling and fitting operations on a variety of materials
• Use hand tools, power tools and specialist fabrication equipment safely and effectively
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality requirements and customer specifications
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across production and engineering teams
• Follow all health, safety and quality procedures at all times

Role Requirements

• Proven experience as a skilled sheet metal worker within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and processes
• Experience working to tight tolerances and high quality standards
• Good attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Aerospace manufacturing experience would be advantageous but is not essential
