Zest Education is recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Supply SEN Teaching Assistants to support a range of local SEN schools across Stoke-on-Trent. With increasing demand for additional support , this is the perfect opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping children with Special Educational Needs, including Autism, SEMH, communication needs, learning difficulties, and physical disabilities.

What We’re Looking For

Experience working with children or young people with SEN
A patient, caring, and positive attitude
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
Ability to work as part of a supportive team
Flexibility to work across different SEN settings
Reliable, proactive, and committed to safeguarding pupils

Additional SEN training (e.g., Autism Awareness, Team Teach, Makaton) is welcomed but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with additional needs in 1:1 and group settings
  • Assist teachers in delivering adapted and engaging learning activities
  • Promote emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff

The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
