About the role
Our client, a prominent player in the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) sector, is currently seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee key projects within the substation and HV domains. This is a contract role based in our Stafford office for 3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing projects within the substation and HV sectors, ensuring timely and efficient delivery
- Coordinating project teams and resources to meet project goals and objectives
- Developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Ensuring compliance with national grid standards and best practices
- Leading project meetings and progress reviews
- Managing stakeholder communications and expectations
- Identifying and mitigating project risks and issues
- Reporting project status to senior management and stakeholders
Job Requirements:
- Experience in project management within the substation and HV industries
- Understanding of national grid standards and requirements
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong organisational and multitasking capabilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in engineering or project management
