School Caretaker

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable School Caretaker to join our team and ensure our educational environment is safe, clean, and well-maintained. In this role, you will be responsible for the upkeep of the school premises, including classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and outdoor areas. Key duties will include performing routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces, as well as maintaining the landscaping and ensuring the grounds are tidy and presentable. You will also assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, fixing furniture, and addressing plumbing issues, ensuring that all facilities meet safety and functionality standards.

In addition to maintenance responsibilities, the School Caretaker will play a vital role in supporting school events and activities. This includes setting up and taking down equipment for events, moving furniture as needed, and providing support during school functions. The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have a proactive approach to problem-solving. Previous experience in a caretaking or maintenance role is preferred, along with a basic understanding of health and safety regulations. A valid driver’s license may also be required.
