Senior Bridge Engineer

Our client, a specialist in the highways sector, is currently seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join their Bridges team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and managing projects focused on the maintenance and enhancement of bridge structures across Gloucestershire
• Collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality services, utilising additional resources and expertise from across the organisation
• Conducting design, assessment, and inspection schemes as part of an extensive programme of work
• Participating in and contributing to major infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing the transport network and economic growth of the county
• Ensuring high standards of Health and Safety are maintained, and compliance with relevant legislation is achieved
• Communicating effectively with stakeholders and colleagues to keep them informed and engaged throughout project lifecycles
• Promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team

Job Requirements:

• Passion for working on projects that positively impact local communities
• Mature approach to Health and Safety, with an excellent knowledge of relevant legislation
• Experience in developing highway structures projects, including assessments and inspections
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey points of view clearly to stakeholders and colleagues
• Progress towards Incorporated or Chartered status with a professional institution
• Civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification
