We seek an exceptional operational leader to oversee the delivery of security services across a prestigious portfolio of locations, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, customer service and operational excellence.

The Role
As Operations Manager, you will take full operational responsibility for multiple corporate locations, ensuring contractual delivery, exceptional customer service and effective leadership of a large security team. You will act as the senior operational contact for the client, building trusted relationships while ensuring service delivery consistently exceeds expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
• Lead the delivery of security operations across multiple corporate sites.
• Develop strong client relationships, acting as the primary operational contact.
• Ensure the highest standards of physical security, asset protection and customer service.
• Identify operational risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead incident management and support emergency response planning.
• Ensure consistency of service across all locations.
Leadership & People Management
• Lead, motivate and develop site managers, supervisors and security teams.
• Recruit, coach and retain high-performing security professionals.
• Conduct performance reviews, one-to-ones and development planning.
• Manage staffing levels, rostering and resource planning.
• Handle employee relations including investigations, disciplinary processes and welfare meetings.
• Foster an inclusive, collaborative and high-performance culture.
Quality, Compliance & Governance
• Ensure full compliance with contractual obligations, company policies and industry regulations.
• Develop, review and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor KPI and SLA performance.
• Lead operational audits and quality assurance programmes.
• Drive continuous improvement across all operational processes.
Health, Safety & Risk
• Promote a positive safety culture across all locations.
• Conduct Health & Safety audits and risk assessments.
• Lead investigations following incidents.
• Respond to major incidents and support business continuity planning.
Administration & Reporting
• Produce high-quality operational reports and management information.
• Monitor incidents, trends and performance metrics.
• Support payroll, invoicing and operational administration.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
Essential Experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience within corporate security, guarding, military or law enforcement.
• Significant experience managing multi-site security operations.
• Strong leadership experience managing large operational teams.
• Experience within corporate, commercial or financial services environments.
• Excellent client relationship management skills.
• Strong understanding of security operations, risk management and compliance.
• Experience managing KPIs, SLAs and contract performance.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel regularly between sites.
Desirable
• SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
• CPP or other recognised security qualification.
• Experience of GSOC, Control Rooms, Event Security or Security Technology.
• Experience with access control, CCTV and security management systems.
